Role Responsibilities
The Construction Assurance Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Transport for Wales Construction Management processes, ensuring our projects are delivered safely, to the required quality, on time, and within budget.
Accountable for on-site operations by acting as the main point of contact for the day-to-day management of supported projects and functions within the project to ensure on-site governance. Take a lead role in the quality assurance process and assist in the development of site documentation on supported projects. Take a lead role in developing a positive safety culture by monitoring and managing contractor and delivery partners' compliance with Construction Design Management (CDM) duties to ensure safety on-site in line with industry regulations.
Manage the compliance of construction site operations across several areas by working with Transport for Wales Rail Ltd (TFWRail) and other key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to achieve collaboration with delivery partners regarding compliance of our integration activities.
Who we’re looking for
Relevant technical qualification or working towards an NVQ Level 6 or degree in construction management or similar and/or professional experience.
Site Managers Safety Training Scheme accredited (SMSTS)
Sentinel Personal Track Safety Certificate (PTS)
Demonstrable experience of working on large infrastructure construction sites within a safety and construction management role.
Welsh Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role. Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve, and maintain their Welsh skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh skills, and personal development for Welsh skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses, and funding attendance at local community courses.
