Who is Senior Aerospace Weston?
Senior Aerospace Weston, located in Lancashire, England, is a leading supplier of a wide range of complex precision machined components, and sub- assemblies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs’) predominantly in the commercial aviation market sector. Our experience and core capabilities support multiple segments of an aircraft’s build, including the manufacture of engine compressor and fan components, engine pylon mounting brackets, pintles, wing ribs and associated aero-structure components. We aim to support our customers with a complete solution, including supply chain management and delivery of line-side kits where appropriate.
Quality Assurance Engineer
Purpose: The Quality Assurance Engineer main function is to support the business in areas of QMS compliance. The successful candidate will take ownership of the QMS by leading the internal audit programme, hosting customer and regulatory audits, ultimately ensuring the business remains compliant to industry standards.
Scope: This role reports directly to the Quality Manager working closely with all business functions.
Job Role
1. This role will support the AS/AS QMS across the entire business.
2. Maintenance of all documents, procedures, customer/regulatory standards and specifications that make up the QMS.
3. Plan & maintain the internal audit programme to ensure adherence to the QMS. Coordinate & support closure of associated non-conformances.
4. Host external audits with regulatory bodies and customers. Coordinate & support closure of associated non-conformances.
Person Specification
Professional Requirements and Experience
5. Time Served or Degree Educated in a relevant field or demonstrating relevant industrial experience.
6. Experience maintaining a QMS within an aerospace AS environment would be advantageous, but not necessary.
7. Demonstrated experience as an internal auditor.
8. Demonstrated experience performing structured Root Cause & Corrective Action activities.
9. IT Literate - Microsoft Office Software
10. Experience using Q-Pulse would be advantageous, but not necessary.

11. Should be confident and competent to host customer and regulatory auditors
12. Have the ability to work on own initiative, with willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects
13. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
14. Be highly organised and diligent with good attention to detail.
