Longleat is seeking multiple enthusiastic Kitchen Team Leaders to join our team and help us continue our tradition of hiring engaged and productive employees.
At the core of our dynamic array of kitchen outlets, you will play an important role in supporting the Kitchen Production Manager to deliver the day-to-day needs of the business. Your primary objective is to consistently uphold the highest standards in food quality, ensuring our guests are treated to delectable and nourishing meals catering to diverse tastes. This position is different from the ordinary hospitality role, offering an enticing work schedule devoid of split shifts, late nights, or early mornings—fostering an exceptional work-life balance.
Collaborating closely with Kitchen Production Supervisors, you will actively contribute to overseeing the day-to-day operations of various designated Kitchen Units. Taking a hands-on approach, you will lead a team of seasonal members, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in food production areas, as well as overseeing the upkeep of equipment and utensils. A paramount aspect of your role involves ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety legislation, guiding your immediate team in enforcing policies, procedures, and elevated cleaning standards.
Key duties will include:
1. To support Kitchen Production Supervisors in the delivery of designated Kitchen units
2. Lead the team delivery of food production and health and safety legislation
3. Ensure your units are operated and maintained to department standards
4. Communicate and lead the team to ensure critical information is passed on in a timely matter including regular team briefings
5. Delegate appropriate tasks to the team
6. Ensure daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage are carried out by the team
7. Support team members in delivering their roles effectively

9. You will be reliable and committed, and enjoy exceeding expectations
10. You will have a responsible approach and excellent communication skills so you can provide your colleagues with feedback to help develop themselves and the business
11. You will have a strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

Your contract
You will be on a permanent variable 40-hour contract, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required. The earliest start time is 8am, and the latest finish time is 8pm, varying in accordance with opening times.
