We currently have the following opportunity: Pupil Support Assistant - PKC12366 £10,745 - £11,324 (18 Hours per week, Term-time only) Blairgowrie High School An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Pupil Support Assistant to join us on a permanent basis We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as part of our team supporting young people at Blairgowrie High School. The majority of your time will be spent in mainstream classes, supporting young people, with a range of Additional Support Needs, to engage with, and progress their learning. About the School Blairgowrie High School is the sole secondary school for East Perthshire, and covers a wide catchment area of beautiful landscapes. For leisure time, the area offers many wonderful opportunities for outdoor pursuits and pastimes but is close enough to Perth and Dundee if it is city pursuits you are after. To the West we extend almost to Dunkeld; to the North our area stretches up Glenshee past the Spittal, to the border with Aberdeenshire Council; to the East our area extends to the Angus border and finally to the South-East, Tullybaccart – the highest point on the road between Coupar Angus and Dundee – is our boundary with Dundee City Council. Our associated Primary Schools are Alyth, Burrelton, Coupar Angus, Glendelvine, Kettins, Kirkmichael, Meigle, Newhill, Rattray and St Stephen’s. Skills & Experience Required We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate: A genuine interest in supporting young people to achieve their full potential. Kindness, empathy, patience and an ability to engage with young people. Excellent communication skills and the ability to be adaptable and flexible. Experience (paid/voluntary) of supporting children and young people with additional support needs.
