Retail Operations Assistant
The hourly rate for this role is £11.44
Joining us as a Retail Operations Assistant is a great opportunity, whether it’s your first job and you’re looking to gain some valuable experience, or you have experience with retail and you’re looking for a new challenge.
While this is a temporary contract, there could be potential for a permanent role later, depending on opportunities in your local area, so it could be the start of a new career with us.
About the role
Christmas in Boots is our most exciting time of the year, and it can be very busy. We’ll provide all the training and support you need to help you be at your best.
You will work in a Boots store, reporting to the Assistant or Store Manager. Your role will involve picking and packing boots.com customer orders, working in our back shop, managing stock, and supporting deliveries and stock management.
You will also:
1. Process online customer boots.com orders to a high standard using a handheld device.
2. Prepare online customer boots.com orders for collection or home delivery.
3. Locate and gather stock from the stockroom and sales floor to pack and dispatch online orders.
4. Support daily store operations, including stocking shelves and housekeeping.
5. Work as part of a team to solve issues and meet targets.
What you’ll need to have
Full training will be provided, but the essential skills or experience include:
1. Enjoy following processes and working at pace.
2. Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
3. Communicate and listen effectively.
4. Comfortable learning and using new technology, including handheld devices for order processing.

1. Experience in retail or warehouse environments.
2. Familiarity with Boots products for quick identification during packing.
