MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Premium Gifting company, on the search for an Account Manager. This is a permanent role based in North of England. As the Account Manager you will nurture relationships with retailer buyers and commercial contacts, ensuring the effective implementation of proactive and collaborative business plans. Your expertise in operational excellence will enable you to negotiate and finalize profitable deals while incorporating data and insights related to sales, service levels, and category performance into your strategies. Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for your customers, managing both short-term and long-term relationships. Develop and implement daily business plans that utilise various solutions to enhance profitability and reduce costs. Identify, manage, and deliver effective solutions to commercial, operational, and seasonal challenges. Execute the internal annual operating plan in collaboration with customers to drive sales, profitability, and operational goals. Provide insights to support trading and category vision. Support the development of high-level plans, contractual commitments, joint business plans (JBP), and overall business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring customer needs are represented internally and contributing to the alignment of customer development plans and product assortments. Lead weekly alignment meetings, post-implementation reviews, and update sessions with the support of your team. Mentor and assist in the development of team members. What are we looking for? Proven experience in Account Management with a focus on new business and business development. Successful track record working with UK convenience retailers and delivering on objectives. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively communicate and engage stakeholders throughout the process. Proficient in analysing and interpreting data to influence customers and stakeholders. Solid understanding of the grocery retail market and the macro and micro factors that influence it. Exceptional relationship management abilities and adaptable communication skills to engage with diverse customers and stakeholders.
