Salary: Based on experience
Reporting into: Marketing Director
Location: Manchester
Working week: Monday - Friday. Plus evenings and weekends as required.
Contract type: Permanent full time role.
Background of role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Marketing & Promotions Manager to join the team at Connecting Dots Group. We need a creative, proactive, and self-motivated individual with a passion for event marketing.
The Marketing & Promotions Manager will be responsible for coordinating marketing efforts for all events across our portfolio of five venues. This is a great opportunity to join the team as a key player and play your part in bringing cultural events to life.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Collaborate on Marketing Strategy: Partner with the Marketing Director, Creative Director, and wider team to define and refine the marketing approach to all shows.
2. Day-to-Day Campaign Management: Implement the day-to-day actions as part of the broader marketing strategy for our shows at Progress Centre, Cakebread Street, Square 1, The Loft, and Burstock Warehouse.
3. Contribute and Co-Ordinate Show Launches: Play a pivotal role in coordinating event launches.
4. Integrated Marketing Efforts: Partner with our creative team, design team, bookings team, external partners, and artists’ management.
5. Management of Marketing System: Ensure the marketing system is up to date and support team members as required.
6. Ticketing Set Up: Set up event profiles and tickets with our ticketing partner platforms.
7. Editor-in-chief of our brand newsletters: Create, write, and schedule email communications to our audience.
8. Thinking Outside of The Box: Approach marketing campaigns in a novel and innovative way.
9. Quality Management: Maintain high standards of quality across the life of a project.
10. Provide weekly reports on marketing and comms performance.
11. Manage the flow of the marketing team to ensure timely movement of plans, assets, and approvals.
12. This role may require work outside of normal hours/weekends if necessary.
About you
We are seeking a culturally aware, well-organized, and positive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the following key attributes and experience:
1. 3-5 years marketing management experience in events.
2. Enthusiastic about electronic music.
3. Experience running your own events would be a plus.
4. Experience managing the marketing for a venue/venues with a calendar of regular events.
5. Experience working with artists’ management on artwork asset & marketing plan approvals.
6. A well-organized individual with an eye for detail.
7. A solution-finding team player, able to work on their own initiative.
8. Confident with using Google Suite (gmail, google sheets, google docs).
9. Knowledge of Adobe suite and other design platforms.
10. Knowledge of social media platforms (priority Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook).
11. Experience with email newsletter platforms such as Mailchimp.
12. Experience with ticketing systems such as Skiddle and Resident Advisor.
13. Strong ability to manage many projects simultaneously.
14. Flexible and reliable team player.
15. Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small.
