Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is seeking to appoint a critical role of Operational Manager within Renfrewshire’s Health and Social Care Services within West Renfrewshire Locality teams.
Renfrewshire HSCP has a reputation for ambition in improving the quality of services we provide. You will be joining us at a particularly exciting time as we renew and develop our services to meet the current and changing needs of adults & older people in Renfrewshire.
You will be responsible for the daily operational management within the Locality Adult Social Work teams along with supporting the strategic development of services. You will also ensure the management of risk and the delivery of high standards of professional practice and the effective use of resources in the management of the budget associated with the services you are responsible for.
This position suits someone with the experience of successfully delivering safe & high-quality services, whilst managing increasing service demands and managing change. You should also have experience of managing & leading multi-disciplinary teams, budgetary management and working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to leverage more from our collective resources for the betterment of services.
You will also have the ability to inspire & develop people, make better use of resources and contribute to the development and implementation of new ways of working. You will possess a sound understanding of Self Directed Support, adult and older people’s services, as well as sound knowledge of statutory procedures and regulations within Social Work Services.
It is essential that you have Registration with SSSC and an appropriate professional qualification, such as Degree level qualification, Degree in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work (DipSw) or equivalent. You should also have effective leadership skills with a proven record of successfully managing change and adapting to rapidly changing circumstances. Combined with well-developed written and verbal communication skills, you will also have effective interpersonal skills to facilitate effective communication with people at all levels, as well as effectively motivating staff and managing conflict.
Proven experience of leading and managing a complex service or team in line with professional standards and codes of practice, experience of senior leadership within a professional Social Work/Social Care environment, knowledge of government policies and national objectives relating to Social Work, as well as working knowledge of legislation and best practices as it impacts on social work practice is also essential.
