We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Nurse/ Paramedic within our MIU's. The position will be based at Wisbech but could be asked to work at one of the other units at Doddington and Ely when needed. Shift times are 08:30-18:30 Monday - Friday and 08:45-17:15 Weekends/ BH. The units are open 7 days a week Working in a busy and fast paced Minor Injuries Unit, the successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, polite, and have an ability to work under pressure at times. The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic and the ability and willingness to travel and work in any of the three Minor Injuries Units. They will have access to structured supervision as well as the opportunity to undertake training to enhance their role within the team. Main duties of the job We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse or Paramedic / ECP with significant post registration experience, Primary Care or ED experience and specialist knowledge in Minor Injury and illness to work flexibly across our Minor Injuries Service. We are looking for skilled individuals who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and have well-developed clinical skills. You will be adept at wound assessment and closure, the assessment and management of musculoskeletal injuries (including X-ray requesting and interpretation) and minor illness and be able to develop your practice to reach the advanced level required to work in an entirely nurse/ Paramedic-led environment.
