PM Group requires electrical engineering support on a chemicals site in the North West.
Responsibilities
1. Providing electrical expertise and electrical technical guidance to the project team.
2. Developing electrical elements of the project design.
3. Leading the electrical design team through various project stages.
4. Creating cost estimates and ensuring electrical elements of the project are delivered on schedule and within budget.
5. Updating key stakeholders on electrical progress.
6. Working as part of the project team, delivering a portfolio of capital projects.
7. Delivering project documentation and drawings.
8. Collaborating with existing client engineers, managers, and directors.
9. Acting as a client representative in meetings and discussions with third-party vendors.
10. Creating tender documentation, engaging potential suppliers/contractors, and providing in-depth tender analysis on bid returns.
11. Attending and overseeing testing on-site and off-site.
12. Working alongside third-party contractors and offering input into electrical design and installation.
13. Collaborating with other client departments and offering technical support as required.
14. Ensuring project delivery is compliant with EU and UK health and safety regulations, as well as client procedures and protocols.
15. Participating in HAZOPS and other process safety reviews/events.
16. General improvement, quality design, and risk management for electrical elements of the projects.
17. Developing engineering standards that support project delivery.
18. Other responsibilities in keeping with the electrical engineering role.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience of working as an electrical engineer on multiple chemical projects.
2. Knowledge of standard industry practices, procedures, and safety measures is essential.
3. Excellent communication skills, able to lead and focus a multi-disciplined engineering team.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to challenge and work with other technical engineers and project stakeholders.
