We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. Our team includes as mix of Psychiatrists, Nursing, Social work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and support staff. Deliver, as part of wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) high quality, timely and comprehensive mental health service for children and young people (CYP) with a range of complex mental health needs. To focus on evidence-based bio-psychosocial assessment and nursing specialist interventions, working towards evidence-based recovery. Ensuring the nursing profession is represented within the Multi-disciplinary approach to care. To provide the co-ordination and collaboration in meeting the needs for a defined caseload working directly with CYP, their families/carers and external agencies. Main duties of the job To provide specialist assessments of children and young people, based upon the appropriate use, interpretation & integration of complex data from a variety of sources. To be responsible for implementing a range of clinical interventions for children and their families, within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining formulations drawing upon different explanatory models. To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options based on theoretical and therapeutic models and complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children and families. To provide specialist advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan. To contribute directly and indirectly to improving the understanding of child and adolescent mental health.
