FREENOW is seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Head of Operations UK to support the General Manager UK in leading and executing our operational strategy. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our UK business, directly impacting our growth and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the General Manager UK, you will be responsible for optimising day-to-day operations, driving performance improvements, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will be a key player in delivering the FREENOW vision locally, ensuring operational excellence.
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:
* Support the General Manager UK in the delivery of operational KPI targets within agreed timeframes.
* Monitor and analyse key performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Collaborate with the Marketplace Performance team to effectively balance supply and demand, ensuring optimal service levels.
* Implement and refine operational processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
* Work closely with central operations teams to ensure alignment and consistency in operational practices.
* Maintain strong relationships with local regulators and authorities to ensure compliance and support business goals.
Operations:
* Optimise the day-to-day operations including balancing supply & demand, customer services, driver liaison, business sales & marketing activity.
* Build relationships and represent FREENOW with external stakeholders, including driver organisations, fleets, dispatchers, etc.
* Represent the UK market with the central functions including central operations, marketing, product and tech teams and influence their roadmaps and priorities.
* Actively monitor key business metrics, and continuously look for new opportunities for growth within region.
* Develop and retain talent to ensure delivery of business objectives.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:
* Previous experience in leading successful teams.
* Self-confident and engaging presence, complemented by strong social and interpersonal skills. Equally comfortable communicating to groups of drivers as with commercial partners.
* Project management skills - can deliver complex projects.
* An analytical operator who is obsessed with continuous improvement and leveraging the latest technology (e.g. AI) to achieve operational excellence.
* Self-motivated and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty inherent in scaling a technology marketplace.
* Understanding of technology-driven marketplaces.
* An extensive network in the UK market segments is preferred.
