Job Title: Locum Clinical Pharmacist Banding : 8a Location : Swansea Start: 3 February 2025 Duration : Until 10 August 2025 Rate : £ 34 - £ 3 7 Working hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 1 8:00pm We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in Swansea. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential pharmaceutical care to patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ward and dispensary cover, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care. Hospital experience is essential, and HEPMA experience would be beneficial, although training can be provided. What will your responsibilities be : In this role, you will be responsible for managing the dispensing of medications, conducting medication reviews, and providing clinical advice to healthcare professionals and patients. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, participate in ward rounds, and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines. You will oversee the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide training and support to junior staff. Your caseload will primarily involve ward duties with some dispensary support. Qualifications and Experiences: Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) Recent acute hospital experience, particularly in a surgical setting Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmacotherapy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience in conducting medication reviews and providing clinical advice Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in pharmacy HEPMA experience (beneficial but not essential, training can be provided) Why work with Pulse?
