Owing to the nature of the fixed –term post, this may also appeal to graduates who have had experience in Stroke or neurology as an undergraduate. The In-patient Stroke Specialist Rehabilitation Unit is based at the Vale Community Hospital in Dursley and offers residents of Gloucestershire a dedicated Therapy Led Specialist service in a Community Hospital environment. Adopting national best practice this unit ensures that people suffering from a stroke within Gloucestershire benefits from a specialist clinical pathway, maximising the health outcomes of those people who are likely to improve with In-Patient Specialist Rehabilitation. There is close collaborative working with colleagues in the Hyper Acute and Acute Stroke Units within Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in the Countywide Early Supported Discharge Team and Community Neurology Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic clinician to work in the Multi-Disciplinary team who shares a philosophy of empowering patients to be more independent and active in their recovery. There are opportunities for post graduate development through which you will be committed to developing your expertise.
