As a Procurement Category Specialist, you will play a vital role in tendering and appointing suppliers for various procurement topics, from market research to negotiation.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
* Engaging with different departments to analyse and highlight their needs
* Onboarding new procurement categories
* Demonstrating innovative thinking and proactivity
* Managing the tender process, including market research and negotiations
* Conducting strategic sourcing initiatives
* Supplier negotiation and drafting contracts
* Contract management
* Stakeholder management
* Budget tracking and control
* Managing and maintaining supplier relationships
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary based on equal opportunity and pay structures, ranging from £49,500* to £66,000* per annum. You will also receive a generous benefits package, including 30-35 days' holiday (pro rata), 10% in-store discount, ongoing training, enhanced family leave, and a pension scheme.
Requirements:
* Solid experience in a procurement role
* CIPS Level 4 qualified
* Experience working with suppliers, contract management, and tendering
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Effective negotiator and confident presenter
* Ability to prioritise projects and communicate accordingly
* Strong knowledge of Excel
