Adults Home Registered Manager
Location: North West
Pay: £50,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager for a New Adult support and mental health facility in the North West. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to set up the facility from scratch. You will meet commissioners, plan the setup of the facility, recruit service users in and your team. This County Council puts vulnerable adults at the heart of everything they do. Their first priority is to put the needs of people first and to ensure they receive the right help at the right time.
We are delighted to be working with the Council to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated, experienced individual, who has the appropriate skills to set up and lead a new Adults home through to Ofsted registration and take on the role of Registered Manager. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working at a senior level in a Residential Adults home, having achieved Ofsted judgements of ‘good’ and / or ‘outstanding’.
The successful candidate will be on board from the very start and take a lead in shaping and developing the home, its systems, procedures, and protocols. They will need to create a comfortable, welcoming and friendly environment. Crucially, it must be a comfortable and welcoming home in which vulnerable adults feel love and joy and are encouraged to take the lead in their own life.
This is an exceptional opportunity for someone hungry for a challenge and an opportunity to progress their career. You will be expected to contribute your own ideas, plans and visions, while promoting the ethos and vision of what will be the first Local Authority home in Warwickshire for many years.
Most importantly:
You will want the very best for Vulnerable Adults; making sure every person has the best possible care experience, working with them to build a positive culture and ethos in the home, nurturing teams and responding effectively when things don’t go to plan.
You will have the ability to create a comfortable, welcoming and friendly home environment that you would feel proud to live in; run the home and deliver creative programmes and experiences that create strong bonds between the team and the young people and that make everyone smile.
You will believe in equality and that no one is better than anyone else – that everyone has the right to be treated respectfully as equals by everyone around them. Somebody who truly understand that care is a ‘doing word’ and that the change we want to make in our home relies on working with, not doing to, people.
Do you have these abilities and attributes? Do you have a strong track record of delivering top-quality care for vulnerable adults in previous positions? Are you a people person and want to work with others, build strong relationships with them and help residents to thrive? Are you reflective and restorative in your approach and always willing to learn?
