This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a strong communications team focused on holistic and integrated communication of Imperial’s world-leading research and education to both external and internal audiences. Working across the institution, the Director of Communications will pull together existing narratives and develop a comprehensive communications and brand strategy.
The Director of Communications will lead efforts to position Imperial as a global leader in communications, ensuring communications material is of world-class quality and successful in driving forward Imperial’s strategy.
The successful candidate will develop and deliver creative, impactful communications strategies for the university, consulting appropriately to optimise for the intended audience, as well as effectively lead, motivate and manage a team of multi-disciplinary communications professionals, and external associates including agencies and suppliers, to deliver the communications strategy and objectives.
Additionally, the Director will advise senior management with confidence and help the media relations team to manage reputation and risk in the media through appropriate, proactive and effective policies, protocols and communications guidelines.
