SRG are working with a leading company that develop and manufacture speciality chemicals for a wide range of markets and sectors. They are currently looking to hire a Laboratory Technician on a permanent basis, to join their team in Greater Manchester. This role will involve testing the application of new products in development using a variety of methods, supporting in Quality Assurance (QA) when required and supporting in new product development. Ideal candidates will have recently finished college, holding an A-level or HND in Chemistry. Chemistry graduates that have completed a final year research project involving coatings and/or the application testing of products are encouraged to apply.
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 36.35 hours per week. Flexible start and finish times. 34.5 holidays per annum, including bank holidays.
Role / Description
* Supporting in the application testing of a range of products including coatings and composites
* Analysing the properties of finished products using a range of techniques including rheology testing, colour properties and thermal properties
* Supporting in Quality Assurance (QA) as and when required
* Potentially supporting in the development of new products
* Laboratory maintenance and upkeep
Requirements
* A-level or HND in Chemistry
* Recent college leavers are encouraged to apply

* Strong communication and organisational skills
