We’ve recently brought our ICT services inhouse after 15 years of having them outsourced as a shared service. This brings with it a fantastic opportunity to join a new team, committed to driving change with modern technology.

A salary of £41,037 - £46,063 per annum

About this job:
This role will play a key part in the ongoing maintenance of our existing network and infrastructure, and the modernisation of our technology and tools.
Here’s what you’ll get up to:
Support service delivery with a robust, stable and secure environment
Ensure upgrades and patches are deployed on time with minimal impact on services
Investigate potential and actual service problems and recommend solutions before implementing them
Analyse requirements and design new solutions, modernising our estate wherever possible
Use network management systems software and appropriate analysis equipment to maintain awareness and control of the network load and to model performance statistics.
Working pattern:
Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays
Full-Time (37 hours a week)
Hybrid working – mixture of on-site and remote
Contract type: Permanent
About you, the ideal Infrastructure Engineer for the job:
Your knowledge
Knowledge of ICT infrastructure (e.g. Networks, servers, datacentres, cloud, etc).
Knowledge of detail-oriented problem solving with strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of firewall implementation and administration
Knowledge of managing and configuring enterprise-wide networks including LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs etc
Knowledge of modern technologies, in particular cloud
