You will need excellent communication skills and to be able to work collaboratively with education partners and a wide range of clinical staff to develop high-quality clinical placements for nursing and AHP learners.
Supporting learners whilst on placement is a key part of the role; you will offer them support and advice and deliver reflective practice sessions whilst they are on practice placement.
You may need to support learners to raise concerns whilst on placement.
Main duties of the job
1. Working with lead nurses, matrons, service managers, and clinical team managers to ensure that there are sufficient practice assessors and supervisors prepared in accordance with NMC standards to support pre-registration nursing learners.
2. Supporting the Trust's preceptorship program by engaging with and supporting preceptees, being part of the preceptorship program delivery.
3. Delivering training.
4. Maintaining contemporaneous records and providing monthly reports to the education leads.
