TSG is currently looking to recruit a Bench Hand Joiner to work with an existing team of skilled Joiners. About our client… Our client is a well-established contract retail design & fit manufacturer. They design, develop and manufacture their own bespoke equipment for the retail and leisure sectors, and have a large well-established customer base throughout the UK. They pride themselves on a professional and friendly service from the moment initial contact is made, through project design and execution. Requirements Previous experience working as a BHJ in a bespoke joinery environment; ideally furniture or fit-out. Must have experience of working with all types of wood – hard, soft and engineered. Experience of other material such as Corian or Parapan would be advantageous but not essential. Experience of looking after Quality Control and Health & Safety. About you… 3 years of bench hand joinery experience ideally. However, our client would consider qualified candidates who have limited experience. Able to interpret CAD drawings. An understanding of all aspects of Joinery. Able to interpret cutting sheets. Thorough material knowledge such as solid timber, sheet materials, laminates and solid surfaces. Experience in using other materials such as Corian or Parapan would be advantageous but not essential. Minimum Level 2 Joinery Qualification. Experience with using a variety of Hand Tools. Benefits Salary of £12 to £15ph DOE. Core hours: 39 hours Monday to Friday with overtime always available. Overtime paid at Time & Half and is often available through the week and at weekends.
