Job Description
1. Manage and motivate the shift team ensuring that productivity and service KPI’s are achieved or exceeded
2. Ensure the highest possible levels of Health, Safety and Hygiene are upheld so that legislative and quality requirements can be complied with, ensure relevant paperwork is completed and retained
3. Deliver communication briefings so that all shift are aware of all Company and local issues and employees are able to offer input/improvements and feel involved
4. Manage Goods Inwards area to ensure that receipts are made quickly and without damaging goods so that stock is available to satisfy orders
5. Develop all team members so that their contributions to the Warehouse can be maximised and succession plan
6. Carry out disciplinary / grievance interviews and investigations in line with Company procedure
7. Monitor and control sickness absence levels in line with Company policy and carry out return to work interviews effectively and efficiently
8. Monitor and control the time and attendance system
9. Ensure the appropriate levels of overtime and agency workers to efficiently and cost effectively run the shift
10. Enforce and adhere all Company policies and procedures
11. Monitor and control training for teams, ensuring the correct amount of Health & Safety representation on shift, eg. First Aiders; Fire Marshalls
Qualifications
12. Computer literate with knowledge of Excel
13. Confident at dealing with people at all level
14. Adaptable and methodical approach to work/ training/ working hours
15. Conscientious and reliable
16. Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
17. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
18. Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines
19. Ability to work as part of a team or individually
20. Professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation
21. Proactive approach and able to make decisions
