At NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies, we're looking for a Referral Co-ordinator who will oversee and actively manage new referrals into the service for patients with more complex mental health problems, long term health conditions and/or who are associated with risk.
We provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based psychological interventions through a stepped care treatment model to people in the local community who are dealing with common mental health problems. We are building on our excellent reputation for delivering high-quality NICE recommended treatment, working closely with Oxfordshire Mind and Keystone Mental Health Hubs.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will liaise closely with other NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapy colleagues, Senior Duty and Day Supervisors, key stakeholder groups, and secondary care where necessary to ensure referrals are triaged to the appropriate care pathway within the appropriate time frame.
You will need to have knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and have significant experience of working in mental health services. We would welcome applications from existing CBT Therapists, Clinical/Counselling Psychologists, and primary/secondary care Mental Health Practitioners.

Job responsibilities
This is a role that will enable you to progress your skills and knowledge of IAPT primary care, secondary care services, and reinforce the interface with Primary Mental Health. As a Trust, we value our employees and put people first. You will have regular supervision from Senior Clinical/Management staff and have a range of training opportunities to support career progression and your personal professional development.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Knowledge and experience of working with clients with a range of psychological difficulties both within a Primary and/or Secondary Care setting.
* Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical, and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
* Knowledge of working in both primary care and secondary care settings.
Qualifications
* Core mental health qualification i.e. mental health nursing, social work, clinical psychology, occupational therapy, or other relevant CBT qualifications.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
Skills
* Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
Experience
* Experience of managing referrals in Mental Health Services or Psychological Services.
* Experience of work within Primary and Secondary Care mental health services.
* To understand and have experience of risk management.
* Experience of inter-agency working and liaison on a wide range of service user issues.
