In line with the Government’s Shared Services Strategy, the Matrix Programme is intending to deliver modern, cost-effective and scalable shared business services to nine departments (the Policy Cluster), with UKSBS as the provider, flexibly meeting changing Government requirements, and driving innovation to optimise efficiencies and enhance user experience. The Programme will also implement a new modern SaaS ERP platform, from which UKSBS can deliver these services, driving harmonisation and significant business change across the Departments. This is a large, complex multi-year programme.
The Programme Benefits Realisation Manager role provides benefits management support to major programmes in UKSBS with dedicated focus over the next few years on our Matrix and Transformation Programmes. The successful candidate will ensure that the benefits realisation strategy aligns with our organisational vision and mission and with our business change strategy.
You will support business leaders in ensuring that benefits identified in these programmes are realised and maximised. In addition, you will support the portfolio management team to proactively embed the approach to benefit management across the organisation, working closely with programme/project managers, stakeholders and other key personnel to identify, monitor, track and report on the delivery of benefits, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
The Benefits Realisation Manager will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of major programmes by establishing effective benefits management practices and providing ongoing support and guidance.
To do this role well you will need:
1. Proven experience in benefits realisation management, programme management, or a similar role within a transformation context.
2. Strong understanding of benefits management principles, methodologies, and tools.
3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
4. Exceptional communication abilities and experience of influencing senior stakeholders with recommendations in line with strategic business decisions.
5. Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
