Senior Principal, Commercial Engineering
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Principal Commercial Engineer to join the Commercial Engineering team. You will play a vital role in supporting the sales process by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating sales contracts, ensuring they meet all legal and company requirements.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving our commercial success by supporting the sales, business development, and legal teams. You will be involved in the end-to-end commercial lifecycle, from working on deal pricing strategy, responding to RFPs, drafting contracts and negotiating with our airline customers. Your work will directly impact our ability to secure strategic business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proposal Compilation : Participate in the review and response of RFIs/RFPs, specifically in the commercial responses of the RFP Proposal.
2. Contract Management : Draft, review, and finalize contracts in accordance with company templates and legal guidelines. Collaborate with Tech, Product and Legal teams to form standard positions on Service Levels.
3. Negotiation Support : Assist the sales team with contract negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable and compliant.
4. Compliance : Ensure all contracts adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
5. Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts.
6. Internal Collaboration : Work closely with sales, product, finance and legal teams to ensure smooth contract execution. Act as a subject matter expert for the commercial aspects of deals, advising the sales team on best practices.
7. Customer Communication : Communicate effectively with customers regarding contracts, addressing any questions or concerns.
A successful candidate will have:
8. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
9. 4+ years of experience in commercial, sales contracting including Service Level Agreements or similar function.
10. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
12. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams within a global matrix organization, with strong capabilities to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
13. Professional presence and business acumen with articulate and persuasive oral and written communication skills
14. Critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate potential issues and suggest creative alternatives to overcome barriers
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
16. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
