Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Packaging Buyer is responsible for managing stocks, preparing and placing orders for materials. The Packaging Buyer is responsible for maintaining the seamless flow of materials to support the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional products while maintaining cost effectiveness and sustainability. Specific Daily / Weekly Duties Co-ordinating daily / weekly stock levels through daily compilation of buying sheets. Maintaining weekly packaging forecast and liaising with suppliers. Preparing daily purchase orders on movex and updating on receipt of delivery notes Approving invoices Tracking orders to ensure that the deliveries that have been received are correct and liaising with suppliers on any issues. Raising disputes where necessary. Liaising with external warehouse / transport companies Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Raising disputes where necessary. Liaising with the Production, Purchasing, NPD, Finance, Technical and Operations teams to ensure a smooth running of the business. Key Skills Highly organised Analytical Good communication skills Knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Word Preferable Skills Background and previous work experience in Buying is essential. INDMP
