Our client is a service and manufacturing business based in between Broadway and Moreton in Marsh and due to continued growth they are now recruiting for a Finance Manager / Management Accountant to work closely with the FD overseeing and enhancing their financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day–to–day finance operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Supervision of a small finance team, provide mentorship and training support.
* Prepare and submit various HMRC returns to ensure compliance.
* Oversee payroll processes and payment runs.
* Monitor and report cash flow trends, escalating concerns when necessary.
* Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and other financial analysis and reporting tailored to specific business needs.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities under senior leadership guidance.
* Identify areas for improving operational efficiency within accounting processes.
* Assist in implementing basic financial controls to reduce risks.
* Perform ad–hoc financial projects or team support tasks as business needs arise.
Skills And Experience Required
* Solid experience in finance and accounting roles with some team supervision.
* Familiarity with SME finance operations, including VAT, payroll, and reconciliations.
* Proficiency with Sage accounting software and strong Excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
