You will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures with the aim to increase the quality of life for our patients. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided to you, including on-the-job training, e-learning and access to our in-house education programmed Academy.
Main duties of the job
Our senior nurses are responsible for undertaking the role of Nurse in Charge and when required deputise for the clinic manager; provide a mentorship approach to the team, empowering patients, qualified nurses and other staff to share knowledge and skills. You will take ownership of care programmes for renal patients and perform patient assessments throughout treatment ensuring great care is provided at all times. Further responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing and monitoring dialysis machines and systems in line with Diaverum processes; reviewing pre and post haemodialysis care with patients and participate in quality and service improvement programmes.

Are you an experienced and dedicated nurse looking for a rewarding career in renal care? Diaverum, in partnership with the NHS, is thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Staff Nurse to join our Ipswich clinic. The role may also cover some shifts in the smaller Aldeburgh clinic.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Undertake the role of Nurse in Charge and occasionally deputize for the clinic manager.
2. Provide mentorship to the team, empowering fellow nurses and staff to share knowledge and skills.
3. Take ownership of care programs for renal patients, performing patient assessments throughout treatment.
4. Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care at all times.
5. Prepare and monitor dialysis machines and systems, adhering to Diaverum processes.
6. Review pre and post-haemodialysis care with patients.
7. Participate in quality and service improvement programs.
Requirements:
1. NMC Registered General Nurse.
2. Strong experience in a renal dialysis setting (2 years+).
3. Awareness and understanding of the NMC code of professional conduct.
4. In possession of, or working towards, a post-registration clinical course in Renal Nursing (ENB 136 or equivalent).
5. Ideally have a Mentorship/Teaching Qualification.
6. Have a positive and dynamic approach to providing safe and effective care.
