Behaviour Mentor
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, ST1
Day Rate: £90-£105
Working Days: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
Start Date: January 2025
We need a patient and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our partner primary school in central Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and fostering positive behaviour.
As a vital member of the support team, you will work closely with students to help them thrive academically and socially.
Role
- Provide consistent 1:1 support for pupils, setting and maintaining clear boundaries.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement effective behavioural strategies.
- Encourage active engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support students' learning, wellbeing, and personal growth.
Requirements
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
- Experience in a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 1.
- Additional qualifications such as TeamTeach or Positive Behaviour Management training are highly desirable.
- Proven expertise in managing challenging behaviour with effective behaviour management techniques.
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
