Allen & York are delighted to be working with one of the country’s leading waste and recycling companies to assist in appointing a Health & Safety Manager for their site in the Nottingham region and additional sites in the Leicester region.
The company works across a broad range of waste management including initiatives in Resource Recovery and Circular Economy to create clean energy and drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will work closely with site management to create and foster a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance across all sites. The role will carry a mix of a hands-on approach working closely with the multi-cultural workforce to build strong relationships, ensuring inspections, audits, and up-to-date practices, as well as keeping up with industry best practices and trends.
Candidates should have team management experience and a background working in industrial environments, waste, or manufacturing. A track record of working with management systems including ISO 14001, 9001, and 45001 would be advantageous.
NEBOSH qualified with a pragmatic hands-on approach is required for this role, along with a can-do attitude.
