Tax Junior

Full-Time Permanent
Monday to Friday 9-5:30pm
Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team managing a diverse portfolio of clients. You will handle complex tax queries, meet deadlines, and review teamwork while providing timely, accurate information to support client decision-making.
Key Responsibilities as Tax Junior:
1. Complete standard income tax returns/corporate tax returns/Employment Related Securities reporting to required level
2. Use standard letters where required
3. Communicate effectively with colleagues and HM Revenue & Customs
4. Regularly update appropriate tax spreadsheets/databases
5. Complete all work within the allocated time scales
6. Complete time sheets accurately and on a timely basis
7. Responsible for the administrative side of the client take-on process within the tax team
8. Support the Tax Manager(s) in the first instance and the wider senior tax team; Senior Tax Manager(s) and Tax Director(s)
9. Be aware of cost implications of actions and meeting set budget requirements
10. Maintain professional standards of conduct and practice
11. Pass professional exams
12. Meet all deadlines and dates set by course provider
13. Plan study throughout the year producing consistent link results
Key Requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years relevant tax experience
2. 3 A' Levels - minimum C grade average / Graduate - 2.1 Degree
3. Possibly already studying/passed ATT Qualification
4. Basic understanding of income tax and capital gains tax/corporation tax and business tax
5. IT literate including Excel, Word, Outlook, and relevant tax packages
6. Ability to set up basic tax file
7. Effective communication skills
8. Self-reliant and self-motivated to study
9. Great attention to detail
10. Good team player
