Job Title: Trainee Cover Supervisor (Secondary Schools) – Ad Hoc Basis Location: Derby (Various Secondary Schools) About the Role: We are looking for a Trainee Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools in Derby on an ad hoc basis. As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring that students remain on task and that school policies are followed. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain experience in education and develop their teaching skills. Key Responsibilities: Supervise students during lessons, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment. Manage classroom behavior and encourage students to stay on task. Support students with learning activities and maintain the lesson plan provided by the teacher. Ensure the classroom is tidy and organized at the end of the lesson. Follow all safeguarding and health and safety protocols. Training: Successful candidates will be required to attend a full-day training session at our head office in Lichfield. This will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to carry out the role effectively. Requirements: No prior experience required (ideal for those looking to enter the education sector). A passion for working with young people and supporting their education. Good communication skills and a confident, professional manner. Able to be flexible and reliable on short notice.
