SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum plus pension, parking, profit share, private healthcare, professional subscriptions, and cycle-to-work scheme. THE ROLE An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and dedicated Senior Structural Engineer to join a talented team of Chartered, mid-level, and graduate engineers. This role will involve supporting the Structures Team in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects. The successful candidate will have strong experience in structural engineering, working on complex and challenging designs from conception to completion. Projects include bespoke new build structures, refurbishment, and heritage works, with a focus on sustainable engineering design and reuse. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent At least 8 years of post-qualification experience in civil and structural engineering Full UK driving license and own transport Chartered or near-chartered status with a relevant body (MICE or MIStructE) RESPONSIBILITIES Detailed structural design and detailing using relevant UK and European codes of practice Producing preliminary design solutions and reviewing with clients Producing detailed designs, calculations, specifications, and conducting technical reviews Attending design, project progress, and client engagement meetings Liaising with contractors, clients, third parties, and stakeholders to address technical queries Designing structures in steelwork, reinforced/precast concrete, masonry, and timber Conducting structural appraisals of commercial, industrial, and residential structures Managing project costs, timelines, and sustainability criteria Complying with CDM Regulations and designer duties Producing sketches, drawings, and structural appraisal reports Supervising CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers Supporting business development, marketing, and identifying new leads ESSENTIAL SKILLS Strong team and project management skills Ambitious, committed, and professional with integrity Proficient in structural analysis and design software Attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to supervise and mentor a team while working collaboratively Self-motivated and proactive Excellent client-facing and communication skills BENEFITS Competitive salary dependent on experience 25 days holiday including Christmas closure, plus statutory bank holidays Annual profit share, averaging 2.5% of salary Annual salary reviews AXA private healthcare Stakeholder pension scheme Support for professional subscriptions and exam fees Engineering training courses, CPDs, workshops, and mentoring Regular social and family events Free on-site parking Cycle-to-work scheme Flexible, friendly, and supportive work environment
