We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and deliver complex geotechnical design solutions within multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, including rail, highways, structures, and water. This role offers a hybrid work environment, with office locations in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork, or Galway, and flexibility to work remotely within Ireland, subject to internet connectivity.
Requirements:
* A Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in geotechnical design, including large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng, MICE, or equivalent).
* Expertise in Eurocode 7 geotechnical design, including foundations, earthworks, and retaining walls.
* Proficiency in numerical software such as GeoStudio, Holebase/Openground, and Wallap.
* Strong project management and client liaison skills, with a proven commercial track record.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* A valid, full clean driver's license.
Responsibilities:
* Manage geotechnical projects and maintain client relationships.
* Supervise and mentor geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists.
* Design and deliver geotechnical packages, including slope stability, ground improvement, and pavement foundations.
* Plan and oversee ground investigations for major infrastructure projects.
* Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports and risk assessments.
* Provide expert geotechnical input to multidisciplinary design teams.
* Lead tender preparation and business development initiatives.
* Ensure adherence to technical standards and regulations, delivering high-quality outputs on time and within budget.
