Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the South & East HR team, providing full employee relations & recruitment support at our Stanford-Le-Hope (SLH) and Stansted locations (required to travel to other locations), covering the evening and night shifts as well as being the main HR contact for our Feeder Department (HGV Drivers).
To front-line employees, you are an approachable, experienced individual who can offer impartial advice on Company policies and procedures. To our management staff, you provide proactive HR consultative services in areas of employee relations, talent management & recruitment.
This is a stand-alone role based in SLH which supports the entire operations of UPS Stanford-Le-Hope, Stansted and the UPS Feeder department during your working hours. You will need to be an experienced HR Advisor with the ability to offer ER advice confidently, be able to recruit and able to travel regularly. You must be able to manage your own workload independently to ensure your work is completed and your business areas are supported.
The role is 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday), due to the business units this role supports the working hours could be any of the following patterns depending on your needs and the business requirements at the time (ensuring appropriate breaks between shifts):
1. 15:00 – 23:00 or 16:00 – 00:00 or 17:00 – 01:00 (or later shifts, but cannot start earlier than 15:00)
Key responsibilities include:
* Provides full HR support to your management and employee groups. This includes ownership of the entire employee lifecycle including recruitment and employment relations issues. You’ll be expected to attend employee meetings, take notes, provide advice and write all letters.
* Maintain strict compliance standards during all processes, such as Disciplinary Hearings, Grievance Hearings and Sickness reviews, including the Right to Work Documentation Compliance while recruiting (you are required to conduct interviews).
* Conduct audits in HR owned matters and provide feedback to the Centre Management team, to maintain high company standards.
