Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to further their career in quantity surveying, working on a variety of construction projects across multiple sectors. The role involves supporting senior quantity surveyors in delivering cost management and commercial services while ensuring financial efficiency throughout project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
* Conduct on-site measurements and valuations.
* Support in assessing and managing project costs to ensure profitability.
* Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, variations, and final accounts.
* Conduct financial reporting and risk analysis.
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
* Support in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving financial efficiencies.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
* A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry (preferred).
* Strong analytical and numerical skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel, CostX, or similar estimating tools.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
