About the role: As Trainee Financial Planner, you will be working within the wider Financial Planning team, providing support and learning from our Financial Planners. You will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to effectively carry out fact finding and risk assessment activities, maintaining accurate client records. You're proactive, and have great time-management skills allowing you to effectively manage your caseload to support the Financial Planner and the client. The successful candidate will need to be based at the office a minimum of 3 days per week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days. Key Responsibilities include: Support the preparation of client meetings to ensure that collated documentation is accurate and Financial Planners are fully equipped to deliver client meetings to the highest standard. Attend meetings with clients to support Financial Planners to understand clients individual requirements Provide ongoing support to Financial Planners where required, be proactive and use initiative to collectively deliver the very best in client experience. Carry out fact finding and risk assessments to assist Financial Planners for their meetings with new and acquired clients Collate, process and monitor the required documentation to ensure client is successfully integrated and that the Financial Planner and client are prepared for Financial Planning meetings Qualify and monitor new business opportunities to generate new private and corporate clients for the Group, using existing relationships and connections Update and maintain client records in our back office and provider systems Embrace Lifestyle Financial Planning and incorporate this into every part of the client experience. About you: You have a track record for problem solving, meeting deadlines and producing high quality reports. You are self-motivated and enjoy working in a team environment. You are a confident communicator, able to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. You are keen to continue your professional development, working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner. Essential skills and experience Holds Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning Excellent interpersonal, listening, numerical and IT skills Strong analytical and research skills Excellent report writing and written/verbal communication skills Good organisational, time management, and caseload management skills Ability to work on own initiative, sometimes for long time periods Professional, ethical and discreet Ability to build and maintain ongoing client relationships Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail M inimum 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, graded A-B (6), including Maths and English Desirable skills and experience At least 1 years’ experience in a client service role whether face to face or by telephone Holds or studying towards CII Advanced papers Educated to degree level, preferably in Economics, Maths, Accountancy and Finance or business Management Experience of working within Financial Services.
