We are seeking to appoint Associate Educational Psychologists to join our supportive and dynamic team. As a service we are committed to the application of solution-oriented approaches and evidence-based psychology to promote inclusion and achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people. We have a central base in Gateshead and are also hybrid working. We are a supportive and welcoming team, with high quality administrative support.
Our Associate Educational Psychologists will contribute to the Statutory Needs Assessment of children and young people with special educational needs by providing effective, high quality and outcomes-based psychological advice, and will have the opportunity to engage with other work if the need arises.
It is essential you have the Knowledge and understanding of current legislation and issues within Special Education Needs and school improvement and experience of using applied psychology and evidence-based practice with children, young people and associated professionals in education and community settings.
You will hold an Honours Degree in Psychology which provides eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered (GBC) membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Postgraduate training in Educational Psychology which is recognised by the Health Care Professions Council and HCPC registration are also essential.
You will hold a current driving licence and have access to a car or means to mobility support.
