Salary: £45,000 - £55,000pa Location: 1 in Burnley and 1 in Accrington. Hours: Full time. Our client is opening 2 new homes early in 2025 and are looking for a manager for each. The right candidate will be able to start before the homes open so that you can make the home your own. As a registered manager, you will Be responsible for all staff, including the deputy manager, children's residential workers and business support. Conduct staff supervisions and appraisals - identifying and implementing staff training needs. Ensure that health and safety is always adhered to. Use and promote therapeutic approaches such as PACE, along with the needs of the individual child, including accessibility, ability, gender, ethnicity, cultural and religious beliefs, and background. Manage, monitor, and control budgets. To work within the homes policies, procedures, and practices to maintain the requirements as set out in the Children's Homes National Minimum Standards Act 2000 and the Children Act 2004. Be the designated safeguarding lead, you will respond immediately to any suspicions, evidence or allegations made of any safeguarding concerns. Promote a high standard of working and be a good role model. Ensure the service has 24-hour cover including an on-call structure is in place on a rota system. You will be required to participate in restraint procedures and be able to undertake breakaway techniques should the need occur. To be considered for this role: You must - Have at least 2 years previous experience of working as a registered manager or a deputy manager in a children's residential home. Ideally hold a level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or hold a level 3 qualification in Young peoples workforce or residential care. Be an effective communicator.
