The role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and busy team in a central University office that provides a key service to all departments and colleges, as well as to applicants from all over the world., This Admissions Administrator roles are two of ten Admissions Administrators, who are collectively responsible for carrying out the quality assurance checking and offer making process for all applicants; processing documentation submitted as evidence to meet offer conditions; confirming applicants' admission once all offer conditions have been satisfactorily met; and processing the CAS for students requiring visas.
In addition to the above responsibilities, each Administrator also has a specialist area or areas. These roles will be responsible for overseeing and developing the processes for either; continuation of Cambridge postgraduate and undergraduate students; or funding, applications fees and international qualifications. The role will also take on additional specialist areas as required and support other members of the team, which may include fee status re-assessments, part-time applications and those from disabled applicants. Responsibilities as a specialist include being the point of contact for those areas, maintaining oversight and data, carrying out process improvement and contributing to relevant working groups.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer orientated skills, and experience of providing a responsive and timely administrative service, preferably in higher education. You should have the ability to digest and understand policy, scrutinise documentation, have an eye for detail, be able to work independently to complete work to tight deadlines, and to use your initiative and judgment. Interested applicants for this post should be educated to HND/HNC level (or have equivalent relevant experience) and have good knowledge of MS Office and databases, as well as being willing to learn new skills.
