We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Designated Nurse for Looked-After Children to provide strategic leadership and expert clinical guidance in improving health outcomes for looked-after children and care leavers.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, evidence-based healthcare services are delivered in line with national policies and statutory requirements. You will act as the key professional advisor to health, social care, and education partners, advocating for the health needs of looked-after children at both operational and strategic levels.
Operational
To support the delivery of day to day activities and projects relating to the looked after children’sagenda.
Drive delivery of a range of business initiatives andprojects.
Support the identification and sharing of best practice across the ICB geographies and beyond where this isappropriate.
Operate in a highly political and sensitive environment, dealing with difficult and often complexinformation.
Support the portfolio of initiatives in demonstrating value for money for the current spends through tracking, managing and delivering agreedbenefits.
To fully participate in the Directorate’s team meetings and associated events ensuring that looked after children remain a key aspect of suchmeetings.

• Provide expert clinical advice to Looked After Children health teams.

The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with substantial experience of the looked after children health sector, proven leadership skills and experience within a multi-agency environment. Strong communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills are essential.
