About the Role ✨
We’re looking for an exceptional SEN Class Teacher who’s ready to make a difference, spark curiosity, and inspire success. In this role, you’ll be creating dynamic, personalised learning experiences that empower students with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with our passionate SENCO, dedicated support staff, and caring families, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape each child’s learning pathway, helping them achieve milestones that transform their lives.
What You'll Be Doing
As our SEN Class Teacher, you’ll:
* Design and Deliver Engaging Lessons – Craft creative, accessible lessons tailored to the strengths of each student, igniting a love for learning and allowing every child to shine.
* Collaborate and Innovate – Team up with enthusiastic SEN support staff, TAs, and fellow educators to develop breakthrough strategies that cater to each student’s progress.
* Personalise Learning Plans – Create and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that fuel growth and meet each student's unique learning goals, sparking confidence and independence.
* Engage Families as Partners – Build strong, collaborative relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring a united approach to each child’s journey.
* Track, Celebrate, and Adjust – Keep detailed progress records and adapt instruction to continuously support student growth, celebrating each milestone along the way.
* Foster Positive Growth – Use individualised behaviour and social skills strategies to create a safe, encouraging environment where students can thrive.
* Stay Ahead in SEN Best Practices – Embrace ongoing learning, training, and professional development to bring fresh, impactful ideas to your teaching.
What You Bring
* Qualifications & Experience – Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in SEN education.
* Knowledge & Skills – Strong understanding of SEN strategies, with knowledge of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and more. You’re ready to bring empathy, patience, and creativity to every interaction.
* A Natural Connector – Excellent communication skills that help you connect with students, build trust with parents, and work seamlessly with colleagues.
* Resilience & Passion – A positive attitude and commitment to helping students achieve their full potential, even on challenging days.
Extra Points For
* Specialised certifications or training in SEN education, such as SENDCo or Autism Spectrum Disorder expertise.
* Experience with Assistive Technology that supports unique learning needs.
* Deep knowledge of safeguarding procedures to create a secure, caring environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
