Pay: £158 - £238 per day (Qualified Teachers) / £140 - £180 per day (Unqualified, dependent on experience)
Hours: 08:00 am - 4:00 pm, Full-Time
Exciting Opportunity for a Food Technology Teacher – Long-Term to Permanent Role
Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity in a supportive and well-established school? A secondary school in Southampton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology teacher to join their team as soon as possible or after Easter 2025. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent from September.
The Role:
Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and practical lessons
Inspire students to develop essential cooking skills, food preparation techniques, and an understanding of nutrition
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities
Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
Work collaboratively with the Design & Technology department to enhance the curriculum
Support extracurricular activities and school events related to food and nutrition

Requirements:
A degree in Food Technology, Design & Technology, or a related subject
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification (unqualified teachers with strong experience will be considered)
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
Strong classroom management skills and a passion for practical, hands-on learning
Enthusiasm for inspiring students and fostering a love for food and nutrition
