Job Title:Assurance Engineer
Job Description
TheAssurance Engineeris responsible for overseeing all aspects of product governance related todestructive and non-destructive testingfor Booth Industries. The role ensures product compliance with technical specifications, certification assurance, and adherence to project timelines.
This will be achieved through a strong understanding oftesting standards, collaboration withUKAS-certified test housesand certification bodies, and managing all testing requirements across the business.
Responsibilities & DutiesTesting & Compliance
* Manage and control alldestructive and non-destructive testingactivities and deliverables.
* Developtesting strategiesto optimize the number of required tests for full product assurance.
* Ensuretest houses comply with industry standardsand maintain oversight of testing processes.
* Attend tests (domestic and international), report observations, identify causes of failure, and propose remedial actions.
* Final sign-off on test products (FAT)before shipping and after installation at test facilities.
Project & Business Support
* Liaise withtest housesfor quotations, scheduling, installations, and drawings.
* SupportSales & Design teamsby guiding product viability based on specifications.
* Assist intender reviewsfor assurance compliance, noting any deviations or assumptions.
* Maintain awareness ofindustry developments, technologies, and standards.
* Supportnew product development (NPD)by assisting in business case composition.
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintaintest reports and assessmentson the Network Drive.
* Producepre-test and post-test documentationas required by projects.
* Developprocedures and best practicesfor assurance processes.
* Ensure compliance withISO 9001 proceduresfor the engineering department.
General Responsibilities
* Ensureschedule adherencefor assigned tasks and personal objectives.
* Submittimesheets, leave requests, and 1-2-1 reportsin line with company policies.
* Align withcompany values and vision.
* Perform anyad hoc dutiesas required, commensurate with the grade of the role.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience & Skills Essential:
?Minimum 3+ years experienceapplying engineering standards.
?HND or Bachelors degreein Engineering or Science.
? Experience inconfiguration management and destructive testing.
? Knowledge ofsteel plate manufacturing, welding, and test environments.
? Understanding ofload paths, failure modes, and steel structures.
? Ability towrite technical reports and specifications.
? Strongcommunication skillswith internal and external stakeholders.
?Flexibility to traveland work overtime when required.
Desirable:
? Proficiency inAutodesk 3D Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Vault.
? Experience as aFire Engineer or Commissioning Engineer.
? Membership in anindustry-related professional body.
? Holds or can obtainSC security clearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,647.00-£37,808.00 per year
