HunterNet Career Connections, in partnership with our host company, are seeking a Business Trainee to join the team in Cardiff. The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in Business over 12 months and kickstart a lifelong career with a reputable company, who over the last 3 decades has embraced technology in engineering to emerge as a precision leader in their field, with a focus on precision and quality.

The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
* Serve as the first point of contact for incoming telephone calls, redirecting them to appropriate departments, and relaying messages as needed.
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper distribution to management and staff.
* Maintain an organised filing system for easy access and retrieval, including archiving old files.
* Assist with overseeing banking systems, recording all payments (both electronic and cheque) in the company’s system, and depositing funds into nominated bank accounts.
* Support the preparation of weekly payroll, including tracking holiday and sick leave.
* Assist in investigating lost time injuries by completing WorkCover claim forms and notifying management.
* Handle petty cash transactions efficiently.
* Perform other related duties as directed by management.
What we’re looking for:
* Self-motivated
* Ability to prioritise multiple tasks
* Driver’s licence and reliable transport
* Experience with banking, cash handling and payroll would be advantageous
* Committed to completing practical and theory-based study requirements of a 12-month traineeship
