Your Experience:
* Homecare Pharmacy experience desirable but not essential.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders.
* Works well under pressure and in a target driven environment.
* Ability to lead and direct team members.
* Able to make confident judgments.
Your Responsibilities:
* To undertake the role of the Responsible Pharmacist as required ensuring all the relevant and accurate record keeping.
* Following and promoting SOPs.
* Clinically screening all prescriptions, ensuring all medication is appropriately prescribed.
* Providing counselling and advice to patients by telephone or email.
* Overseeing other dispensary staff and providing them with the guidance and the advice needed for them to perform to a high standard.
* Supervising the medicines supply chain and ensuring pharmacy premises and systems are fit for purpose.
* Ensuring the Pharmacy is meeting all GPHC requirements.
* Undertaking audits on a regular basis and ensuring any relevant changes required are implemented in a timely manner.
* Advising other healthcare professionals about safe and effective medicines use, and safe and secure supply of medicines.
* Supporting the Pharmacy Superintendent and Pharmacy Operations Manager in the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures and all other aspects of Personal Homecare services.
* Checking dispensed medication in a timely but ethical manner.
* Conducting risk assessments to ensure patient safety in all processes.
