1. Job Summary:
2. Supporting Earth, Navigation and Science missions and Military Telecom projects, this team prepare and perform electrical integration of the spacecraft units, subsystem and system spacecraft functional tests, during both ambient and environmental test campaigns.
3. This role sits within Satellite Assembly Integration and Test team based at Portsmouth.
* Responsibilities:
* Work within the Satellite Assembly Integration and Test team: Supporting the design, manufacture and commissioning of test systems.
* Electrical and functional test of the full spacecraft: Environmental test and launch campaigns, for Earth Observation and Navigation, Science and Military Telecoms missions.
* Test specification: Preparing and scripting test solutions, debugging and formally executing these tests.
* Electrical and functional testing: Performing of complex spacecraft systems.
* Working environment: Hands-on with a mix of office, lab and clean-room based activities.
* Procurement and support: Electrical test racks used during spacecraft build and test.
* Qualifications / Experience:
* Test sequences and procedures: Writing and debugging, preparing and supporting test reviews.
* Documentation and communication: Good skills, using a variety of lab test equipment.
* Spacecraft subsystems: Good theoretical and practical knowledge, including Power, RF Comms, AOCS, DHS, Scientific Instruments and System FDIR.
* Programming and scripting: Experience and knowledge in languages such as C, Java, Python, UDMS, TCL and bash scripting.
* Security Clearance: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.
