Claygate Distribution Limited is an award-winning bathroom distribution company in the heart of Kent and we are seeking a highly motivated and proven Area Sales Manager to help us achieve our ambitious sales goals in the M4 corridor to cover areas including Swindon, Reading, Oxford, and Gloucester.
As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for growing the business within our existing customer base as well as developing new accounts for this area. Experience within the bathroom industry would be desirable but not essential. The successful candidate should ideally have a minimum of three years’ Area Sales Management.

Key areas of responsibility
* Manage and develop a portfolio of customers, as well as maximising the potential from key accounts.
* Roll out new product and marketing initiatives.
* Achieve pre-set area sales and profit targets.
* Create and implement an area business plan.
* Maximise the potential from existing customers and seek out new sales opportunities.
* Increase display presence of Claygate Products.
* Train and develop customers’ knowledge of Claygate Products and conduct sales product training presentations to customers.
* Work collaboratively with the National Sales Manager to seek and develop new sales opportunities.
* Build strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with our customers and understanding their needs.
* Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and other events as required on both a regional and national level.
* Maintain and update CRM – call reports, displays, and sales data.
* Report your area's activity by means of weekly/monthly reports.
* Work closely with different teams within Claygate Distribution Limited.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Expertise
* At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the bathroom industry.
* A proven track record in achieving sales and profit targets within the bathroom industry.
* The ability to plan ahead, set goals, and organise effectively to achieve objectives.
* Strong presentation and communication skills.
* Analytically and numerically competent.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
* Full driving licence.
