ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a proactive and results-oriented Category Executive to join our Insight & Category team. In this role, you’ll support the Category Management Team in driving growth by managing product assortments and delivering actionable insights. You’ll analyse market trends, contribute to the development of category strategies, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance category performance. Your work will play a key role in helping us achieve our sales and profitability goals. RESPONSIBILITIES Take ownership of Category, Shopper and Insights Data for the convenience channel. Build strong and lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Working with market and consumer data (Kantar, Nielson, IRI, Nectar Loyalty) to identify joint opportunities for the business and retailers. Deliver and present compelling shopper insights. Create, develop and drive Category Management service with specific customers to increase sales and achieve customer business targets. Create and execute insight led customer initiatives to grow the Category and St Pierre sales Manage product portfolio within customers to grow distribution to drive category and St Pierre sales (NPD and tail management) Plan, lead internally and execute range updates and range reviews in line with customer objectives Prepare regular reports on category performance, including sales and market trends. PERSON SPECIFICATION Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in category management, retail, or a related field. Experience in the specific industry of the category is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent organisational and project management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse data and market trends to inform category strategies. Strategic Planning: Understanding of basic strategic planning concepts and their application to category management. Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying problems and developing effective solutions. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
