We are looking for an enthusiastic HealthcareAssistant (HCA) to join our nursing team.We are a happy established clinical team that is looking for the rightHealthcare Assistant to join us; someone who is compassionate and has a desireto help patients on a day-to-day basis.
We are looking for a NVQ 3 qualified (or equivalent) Healthcare Assistant to join our team who will work full or part time 9 am 5 pm Monday to Friday (with one hour unpaid lunch break)
We require an experienced HCA, or we will consider someone willing to train, who is able to perform all the usual routine tasks and functions of this role. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team delivering safe high quality care.
General Practice experience is desirable but notessential as training will be given. We are looking for someone who is organised,self-motivated, a good communicator and adaptable.
Main duties of the job
Duties and responsibilities in your own clinics will include, but not be limited to;
1. Assist with Long Term Condition clinics
2. NHS Health checks.
3. Wound management.
4. Flu & pneumonia vaccinations
5. ECGs.
6. BP checks.
7. B12 injections.
8. Suture & clip removal.
9. Ordering nursing equipment
10. Assisting with baby immunisations

The Healthcare Assistant will work as part of the primary healthcare team providing treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
11. Blood pressure checks
12. Urinalysis
13. Height/weight/BMI
14. Ordering supplies/stock control
15. Equipment ordering.
16. Ordering vaccines
17. ECG recording
18. Restocking of clinical area
19. Health promotion
20. Supporting practice
21. Assisting with minor operations, coil fittings, implanon removal, dermatology clinics
22. Infection control
23. Health checks
24. Acting as a chaperone
25. Helping with specific long-term conditions, eg diabetes, asthma as requested.
26. Weight management.
27. Helping with baby clinic (admin).
28. Monitor fridges daily.
29. Helping with immunisation campaigns.
